God Reminding me I Am Making A Difference

If you don't know, I'm in bus ministry at my church. I can say it's a two-way blessing.Although it shouldn't, it amazes me how attached I get to these kids. I miss my kids when I'm away. Every time I'm on vacation (as I am now) I always run the schedule through my head. "8:00am- the kids are being woken up, 8:40 my kids are on the bus! 9:15 they're enjoying Sunday school"... It especially tears me up when a kid moves.

One Sunday i found that a kid who held a special place in my heart was moving. He is such a good kid. He LISTENED oh my word i loved that lol, he helped out, and he stuck up for me when his friends were being rude and not following directions very well.So many time in bus ministry you form connections and then the kid moves. You get attached and they leave.Sometimes they leave so quickly you wonder "Am I really helping these kids?","Did i impact him at all?". But Glory be to God for showing me through one of the girls on my street we'll say "K" that yes i am impacting these kids.

She always wants me to sit with her on the Bus. She always runs to give me a hug whenever she see's me. I see a hunger in this girl. She wants to show her mom and sisters the church and they always come when we have children events. Her enthusiasm is amazing and so cute. I love it, her hunger for God. One Sunday she opened her bible and i showed her scripture about the Holy Ghost. I pray that when she is all grown she'll remember. I think the hardest thing about Bus Ministry is that you don't get to see instantaneous results. But God gives you moments when your kids show you mean a lot to them and you do impact them spiritually whether by a hug or a question about the bible. It shows. And that gives me the patience to see what God will do.
